With raining season  coming upon us it is important to make sure your window and patio doors are ready. If you have not yet replaced your old inefficient windows and doors this is the time to do so.

What to do as winter approaches:

Allow your windows and patio doors to properly drain.
Mother Nature can unforgiving to your home, thankfully most windows and patio doors are specially designed with a drain hole system to protect the inside of your home .
Proper maintenance of your drain hole system is required to assure proper drainage.
The drain hole weep system is designed to allow the water drain to the outside as water builds up.

It’s normal for the water to build up on the sill or the outside track,
It’s important to keep the sill or track clean of any dirt or debris.
Periodically inspect the drain holes to make sure they are clear of any dirt and debris.
Use a soft bottlebrush to clear the opening. It is especially important if you anticipate excessive rain in the near future.
